Full co-op support was added to Repentance, where up to four players are able to play as any of the playable characters. Unlike the game's predecessor, Rebirth has a limited multiplayer mode, allowing an additional player in Rebirth, later increased to three additional players in Afterbirth and Afterbirth+. The player defeats monsters, using Isaac's tears as projectiles, and collects items which modify his appearance, attributes, and abilities, potentially creating powerful combinations. When Isaac's mother is about to sacrifice him, he escapes to the basement and fights through random, roguelike dungeons. The player controls the eponymous Isaac, a young boy whose mother, convinced that she is doing God's work, strips him of everything and locks him in his room. Similar to the original Binding of Isaac, the plot is based on the biblical story of the same name and was inspired by McMillen's religious upbringing. The third and final expansion, Repentance, was released in March 2021.
Afterbirth and Afterbirth+, in October 2015 and January 2017, respectively, with more game content and gameplay modes Afterbirth+ also added support for user-created content. This platform had limitations and led McMillen to work with Nicalis to produce Rebirth with a more advanced game engine, which in turn enabled the substantial addition of new content and gameplay features. Rebirth is a remake of The Binding of Isaac, which was developed by McMillen and Florian Himsl and released in 2011 as an Adobe Flash application. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions were released in November 2021.
Rebirth was released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in November 2014, for Xbox One, New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in July 2015, for iOS in January 2017 and for Nintendo Switch in March 2017.

Any but the last floors can have that room and getting Mom's Box in the Shop may very well be a sure way to get the trinket sooner than later plus starting with Isaac and the D6 you can re-roll the shops. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is an indie roguelike video game designed by Edmund McMillen and developed and published by Nicalis. In any event, as mentioned, just wait until you get the Missing Poster some time and find a Sacrifce Room to kill yourself for the unlock.

After all, that seeds helped unlocking the Lost is a fact I even (ab)used, though IIRC that has been patched out but the gamepedia at least still has seeds (so I could very well be wrong about a Rebirth Patch of which only one mentions to "Fix seeded run exploit"). Now one only has to wonder if it however works for the 3DS version, which uses an unknown version of Rebirth.

Originally posted by burn1none:how do people still think seeds are a viable way to unlock anything? at this point its like there are trolls out there purposefully spreading misinformation or something because a basic google search of how to unlock The Lost would show that seeds are useless Seeds won't work of course, since they prevent all kind of unlocks/progress. On Aftebrirth (and Afterbirth+), you first have to unlock the Missing Poster (by killing the Lamb as Isaac), then find it in a run, then commit suicide on the spikes of a sacrifice room (the ones with spikes in the middle, not the one with a spiked door frame) while holding the trinket. If you have the Afterbirth DLC, it's a complete waste of time. The "4 deaths" method to unlock the Lost only works on Rebirth. > Doesn't read it himself (or doesn't understand any of it). Look on the wiki for how to unlock the lost because I swear the things you have to do in a row, and dying in specific ways is so painful. You also can't do this on a seed since achievements aren't enabled when you put a in. Originally posted by AOD_Rostovne:actually you have to first do it through an absurd combination of tasks using death, which I believe will then unlock the missing poster.
