Depending on the access requirement, remote users can access corporate network through SSL VPN Client or End user Web Portal (clientless access). It allows access to the corporate network from anywhere, anytime and provides the ability to create point-to-point encrypted tunnels between remote user and company’s internal network, requiring combination of SSL certificates and a username/password for authentication to enable access to the internal resources.

Once I did that, the TAP driver showed normally under Network adapters and the SSLVPN would connect again.SSL (Secure Socket Layer) VPN provides simple-to-use and implement secure access for the remote users.

Attempting to update its driver would fail, even after rebooting and trying again. What finally worked for me was to reset the TCP stack and reboot again ("netsh int ip reset" and "netsh winsock reset").

I let the 11.12.4 client install "finish" after about four minutes and then looked at Device Manager to find an "Unknown device" there. All of those clients failed to connect.įrom BUG-0021, with some edits: "For anyone else who runs into this issue and cannot reinstall the SSLVPN agent with its TAP driver, this is what finally worked for me. Previously, the SSLVPN client only took perhaps 30 seconds or so to install. That failed to fix the problem, so I removed the client and installed the versions from 11.10, 11.11, 11.12.2, and 11.12.4, ***all of which took SEVERAL MINUTES to install***, which was a big clue. It ran through the authentication, hit Duo 2FA on my phone, then right after "Downloading config options" screen, something else flashed by and it went back to the login prompt.Īt first, I was not aware it was the TAP driver, so I tried a system restore to two days prior to the blowup, which was caused by upgrading the client when connecting to my T50 running Fireware 12.0 beta 2 or 3 (see BUG-0021). It was right before the final connection step where it failed. My failure was not an instant one like yours, but it could be related. I'd still like to know telnet results.remember, I cannot see what you see, so concrete test results help. You replied while I was private messaging you, so some of those questions are answered. Have you reset the TCP/IP stack and Winsock? I will message you an address to test that has the SSLVPN running so you can see if your computer can hit it.

Have you checked the TAP driver? I had mine get corrupted by the 12.0 beta SSLVPN client on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and had to manually fix it. What OS are you using on the computer trying to connect?

What are you putting into the Server field? "But, when executing (with any IP including my device at 10.10.2.1) the error about the domain is instant.not a packet is sent." I don't get what you mean by "with any IP including my device at 10.10.2.1" comment. I assume you have Wireshark or similar installed and that's how you know no packets are sent, correct?īy your "the system I am on sends exactly 0 traffic to the firewall" comment, I assume you mean traffic from the SSLVPN client, correct? What were your results of the telnet test to the IP or FQDN of the firewall? So, now I am to the point that unless someone knows some mystery un-install thing (yes, I killed the reg keys I could find).looks like I need to blast Windows. I have removed and re-installed the client multiple times from multiple sources (T-devices, on-line blah blah). There is no question at all that this is the computer that I am on. I had a case open due to an error (Failed to get domain name).
